Decoresmart Brings Its 3D Face Recognition Lineup to IFA Berlin 2026

Summer is winding down and the connected-home world is packing its bags for Berlin. Decoresmart is joining them: from 4 to 8 September 2026, our team will be at IFA, showing the strongest product lineup we have ever brought to a European show. If your calendar still has a gap that week, this is our official invitation to come by, put our locks through their paces, and talk about what a partnership could look like.

What We Are Showing in Berlin

The booth is built around one idea: let visitors touch everything. Nothing will be behind glass, and nothing will be running a canned video loop.

  • The DESF series of smart lever locks, including the DESF13 with 3D structured-light face recognition, fingerprint, card, keypad, and app access.
  • The DESO series of outdoor smart locks, built for rain, dust, and temperature swings, mounted on a real door section you can open and slam yourself.
  • The video doorbell lineup, streaming live to a phone at the booth so you can judge latency for yourself.
  • Matter and Thread demonstrations showing our locks controlled from third-party apps and hubs — no proprietary gateway required.
  • A working cutaway lock body, so installers can see the motor, clutch, and battery layout they will be fitting.

Live Demos on the Hour

Every hour, on the hour, we run the demo that always draws a crowd: the face recognition torture test. Our team will try to defeat the DESF13 with printed photos, phone screens playing video, and a resin mask. The lock should refuse every one of them — and when it does, we will show exactly why on a companion screen displaying the depth map the sensor actually sees. It is the clearest way we know to show the difference between structured-light recognition and the camera-plus-app tricks that give the category a bad name.

Between demos, the outdoor section runs its own weather cycle: spray, heat lamps, and a freezer door panel, all live. Condensation is a real killer of cheap outdoor locks, and we would rather show our seals working than quote an IP rating and hope you believe it.

Book a Meeting with Our Team

IFA week goes by fast, and the best conversations happen with a table and a calendar. We are reserving meeting slots throughout the show for:

  • Distributors and retailers evaluating a smart lock line for 2027 ranges.
  • Hotel and property management groups planning room or unit upgrades.
  • OEM and ODM customers who want to build their own brand on our certified platform.
  • Installers and smart home integrators curious about Matter, Thread, and multi-lock management.

Write to our team through the contact page with “IFA meeting” in the subject, and we will confirm a slot that fits your schedule.

After the Show

Everything demonstrated in Berlin stays true afterward: sample programs, project pricing, and technical documentation will all be available through our normal channels. We will also publish a short recap here on the blog after the show closes, with photos and the questions visitors asked most. If Berlin is too far this year, the recap is the next best thing — and our showroom program means serious partners can always see the full range closer to home.

See you in Berlin.

Where to Find Us

Come find us in the smart home halls at the Berlin ExpoCenter — follow the demo-door queue and you have found us. Booth staff speak English, German, and Mandarin, and the full team of product managers and engineers rotates through daily, so the person answering your technical question is the person who built the feature. Show floor passes and travel logistics are yours to arrange; once you are inside, everything at our booth is open to walk up.

  • Show dates: 4–8 September 2026, daily from 10:00.
  • Hourly spoof-test demos throughout the day, rain-chamber cycles running continuously.
  • Private meeting tables available on request at the booth or by writing ahead.
  • Sample units and technical documentation to take home for qualified partners.

What We Are Not Bringing

Every trade show has its share of vaporware, so let us be explicit about the opposite. Everything demonstrated on our stand ships today or has a dated firmware roadmap we will show you. We will not demo a “concept lock” that never leaves the lab, and we will not promise features whose engineering schedule we have not seen. If a visitor asks for something our products genuinely cannot do, the answer will be no, followed by the nearest real alternative we can offer. We find that honesty books fewer headlines but more partners.

Bring Your Hardest Questions

Our favorite booth visitors are the skeptics: installers who have been burned by plastic clutches, facility managers who have read too many optimistic datasheets, integrators carrying compatibility matrices with rows we have to earn. Those conversations are exactly why we travel. Berlin in September is the best place to have them — the coffee is on us.

And if you cannot attend but your market can, our showroom program brings the same hands-on experience to partner cities through the year. Write to us, and we will tell you honestly whether Berlin or your nearest showroom is the better use of your travel budget.

A final note for press and content creators: interview requests and booth photography are welcome, and our communications team can provide spec sheets, imagery, and engineer access with a day’s notice. We would rather you write about what you tested yourself.
